Red Sky Woman
She is the gift of the eventide sky.
A cirrus composition
of crimson clouds,
dyed,
on the backdrop of a fading black canvas.
She tints the forest saffron,
laying her brush
upon
mountain and pine.
As paint turns dry,
Red fades from
the pines.
She disappears with the setting sun.
